Defending Champions Chennai Super Kings strengthened their play- offs chances with a 28 run over Punjab Kings in Tata IPL 2024 encounter at picturesque Dharamsala.
Punjab Kings Skipper Sam Curran won the toss and opted to bowl first . CSK got off to a slow start . CSK opener Ajinkya Rahane struggled and he was out 9 . Shivam Dube was out for 0 again . Moeen Ali 17 . Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad chipped in 32 . Ravindra Jadeja gave the the innings the push towards a competitive total with a fine 46 ( 23 balls , 3 fours 2 sixes) , Mitchell Santner 11. Shardul Thakur with some lusty hits scored 17 .
But the huge crowd were left in shock as Mahendra Singh Dhoni was out first ball bolwed for 0 by a slow ball from Harshal Patel . CSK managing to reach 167/ 9 in their 20 overs.
