Kolkata Knight Riders held their nerve to clinch thrilling super over win over Luck Super Giants in a Tata IPL 2026 encounter in Lucknow . Earlier LSG won the toss and opted to field first.
KKR got off to a horror start losing Tim Seifert for 0. Coming in place oif Finn Allen Tim Seifert has flopped so far . Skipper Ajinkya Rahane was out for just 10 , Angkrish Raghuvanshi 9, Cameron Green 34 ( 21 balls , 3 sixes), Rovman Poweel out for 1 . KKR batting flopped with the total reading 73-4, 10.5 overs.
To add to woes , Anukul Roy 0, Ramandeep Singh 6 , Sunil Narine not out 4 . The star turn for KKR came from Rinku Singh who played the game changing innings . A fine unbetaen 83 ( 51 balls, 7 fours 5 sixes) . It was Rinku Singh’s knock that gave KKR bolwers something to bowl at 155/7 in their 20 overs

KKR Bowling : Anukul Roy 1/19 ( 2 overs), Vaibhav Arora 2/24 ( 2 overs), Cameron Green 1/12 ( 2 overs), Sunil Narine 1/23 ( 4 overs), Varun Chakravarthy 2/33 ( 4 overs), Kartik Tyagi 1/41 ( 4 overs)
Both Super Giants and Knight Riders ended up at 155 . Experianced Sunil Narine made all the difference in the Super Over for KKR .
The spinner dismissed Nicholas Pooran( why was he selected given his poor form is the question) and Aiden Markram to limit LSG to 1 for two, which was also the lowest score in a Super Over.
KKR did not fumble and notched up the required two runs with Rinku Singh, who also had wonderful day on the field taking four catches, fittingly fetching the winning runs.
