Royal Challengers Bengaluru produced one of the most emphatic victories of Tata IPL 2024 as they routed Gujarat Titans by 9 wickets at Narendra Modi stadium.
Earlier RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to field first . GT got off to dismal start with opener Wriddhiman Saha out for 5 . Skipper Shubman Gill too did not last long out for 16 . Thanks to Sai Sudharsan not out 84 ( 49 balls , 8 fours, 4 sixes) and Shahrukh Khan 58 ( 30 balls , 3 fours, 5 sixes) GT reached a competitive total.
Big hitting David Miller provided the late finishing with a timely cameo of 26 ( 19 balls , 2 fours, 1 six) not out. GT reaching an impressive 200/ 3 in their 20 overs.

In reply RCB batsmen sent GT bowlers on a leather hunt . RCB lost skipper Faf du Plessis early for 24 ( 12 balls , 1 four, 3 sixes) with the total at 40 -1, 3.5 overs. For GT this was the only wicket they got. As Virat Kohli and Will Jacks produced a sensational batting performance. The duo toyed with GT bowling with shots all- round the wicket and match- winning partnership.
GT bowlers had no answer to the onslaught . Consistent Virat Kohli continues to hold on to the orange cap as he scored yet another impactful innings . Kohli remained not out with masterly 70 ( 44 balls , 6 fours, 3 sixes) .
But it was Will Jacks who stole the show with his striking power . Jacks unleashed brute force and was not out with a stunning 100 ( 41 balls , 5 fours and 10 sixes) . It was a blazing knock that blew away GT . RCB reaching 206/ 1 in 16 overs. Romping home by 9 wickets .
