Delhi Capitals riding on power knocks by David Warner and Rovman Powell romped home by 21 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 50th match of the Tata IPL 2022 at the Brabourne stadium.
SRH skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bowl first . Delhi Lost opener Mandeep Singh early without troubling the scorers at (0). Mitchell Marsh was out for (10), Skipper Rishabh Pant ( 26). But the heroes for the Capitals were the power men in the middle – David Warner ( noy out 92, 58 balls , 12 fours, 3 sixes) and powerful West Indian Rovman Powell ( 67 not out, 35 balls, 3 fours and 6 sixes). Powell was dropped on 42 by SRK skipper Kane Williamson it proved costly at the end . Warner and Powell put on a superb 122 run- partnership in mere 66 balls. Literally taking the match away from SRH. Delhi Capitals finishing at at an imposing 207/ 3 in their 20 overs.

SRH bowlers had a tough ask and their figures said it all . Bhuvneshwar Kumar 1/25 ( 4 overs) , Sean Abbott 1/ 47 (4 overs) , Umran Malik 0/52 (4 overs) a rare failure, Kartik Tyagi 0/37 ( 4 overs) , Shreyas Gopal 1/ 34 ( 3 overs)
In reply, SRH were never in the hunt . Abhishek Sharma fell early for 7. SRH Skipper Kane Williamson out for ( 4) found it hard to get going as the run rate was climbing. SRH management will have to take a call on Williamson opening the innings . It has not yielded the desired results as Williamson has found hard to give the team the quick start and take advantage of the power play overs.
After initial consistent form Rahul Tripathi has struggled and he was out for (22). Dangerous South African Aiden Markram tried hard for his 25 ball 42 ( 4 fours and 3 sixes) , But the run- rate climbing with every over it was tough ask for SRH to achieve.
Nicholas Pooran appointed new West Indies ODI, T20 skipper showed his talent and form again with fine attacking innings of 62 ( 34 balls, 2 fours and 6 sixes). The rest of the batsmen did not fire as SRH could manage to reach 186/ 8 in their 20 overs. Delhi Capitals winning by 21 runs. The DC win makes the points table very interesting

For Delhi Capitals : Khaleel Ahmed 3/30 (4 overs) impressed, Shardul Thakur 2/ 44 ( 4 overs) , Anrich Nortje 1/ 35 (4 overs) played only his second match, Mitchell Marsh 1/ 36 ( 4 overs), Kuldeep Yadav 1/ 40 ( 4 overs)
