Rajasthan Royals continued their impressive run in the Tata IPL 2024 as they beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 6 wickets at Jaipur in a Tata IPL 2024 encounter. It was Rajasthan’s fourth win in the tournament.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals Skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to field first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB Skipper Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli gave them the best start so far putting on 125 for the first wicket . Faf du Plessis scored 44. The imperious Virat Kohli smashed a masterclass ton .
The first by any batsman in Tata IPL 2024. King Kohli in-fact batted the full 20 overs . Showing his range of dazzling strokes and fitness while running between the wickets .
King Kohli remained unbeaten on 113 ( 72 balls , 12 fours , 4 sixes). He single- handed carried the RCB innings on his shoulders. Glenn Maxwell fell for ( 1), debutant Saurav Chauhan ( 9), Cameron Green not out 9 . RCB reached 183/ 3 in their 20 overs

In reply the Rajasthan Royals got off to a horror start as Yashasvi Jaiswal ( 0) failed yet again. Fortunately for Rajasthan, England white ball skipper Jos Buttler finally bounced back to form with a superb innings of 100 with a six and sealed the match ( 58 balls , 9 fours, 4 sixes) .
Buttler smashed his 100 in his 100th IPL match and remained not out . After King Kohli, Buttler smashed the second ton of Tata IPL 2024.
RR Skipper Sanju Samson in superb form scored a entertaining 69 ( 42 balls , 8 fours, 2 sixes) . Riyan Parag for a change fell for ( 4 ) , Dhruv Jurel ( 2). Shimron Hetmyer 11 ( 6 balls , 2 fours) was the other not out batsman along with Buttler and saw the Rajasthan Royals romp home in style . Royals reaching 189/ 4 in 19.1 overs.
