England produced a fine all-round display to thrash India by 8 wickets a in the first T20 at Narendra Modi stadium Motera, Ahmedabad. England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to bowl first. And his bowlers and fielders rose to the occasion superbly to put on a clinical performance .
Morgan unleashed the pace duo Of Jofra Archer and Mark Wood at the Indian batsmen and they were lethal and aggressive . Indian batting wilted under sheer pace KL Rahul ( 1), Shikhar Dhawan ( 4) and skipper Virat Kohli ( 0) , Rishabh Pant (21) . Had it not for for a fighting 67 by Shreyas Iyer , Indian innings would have been in tatters. Hardik Pandya managed only 19 as wily England bowlers backed by astute field placing by Morgan restricted India to to mere 124/ 7 in 20 overs .
England bowlers were on top . Jofra Archer was brilliant with 3/23. And he bowled with pace. Mark Wood was brute force with his spell making batsmen hop on the crease with 1/20 ( 4 overs) .
