It was courtesy Phillips onslaught that enabled New Zealand  to finish strongly with a total of 225/4 in their  20 overs .

Samson on the other hand unfazed by loss of wickets on the other end  went on to play  match- winning innings of 67 ( 33 balls , 8 fours, 4 sixes). It was Sanju’s blitz at the top that gave India the hope to chase down the Kiwi total . Axar Patel chipped in with a  quick 14 ball 24 ( 3 fours, 1 six).

India needed a cameo towards  the end to see the team home as the  asking rate was climbing.
