The much awaited five- match India versus Australia T20I series saw rain washout two games . The first and the fifth. Thus taking the sheen out the series .
India would not be complaning because the win at Hobat by 48 runs in the fourth T20 gave them a2-1 series lead heading into the final T20I at Brisbane.
The prospect of good contest was marred yet again by rain .
Put into bat by Aussie Skipper Mitchell Marsh India openers, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill , India raced to 52 in 4.5 overs . Abhishek Sharma 23 not out ( 13 balls , 1 four, 1 six) , Shubman Gill 29 not out ( 16 balls, 6 fours) whewn the rain came down.
It did not stop and the match was eventually abandoned . India winning the series 2-1 . SKY continues his good run as T20I Skipper with yuet another series uner bag. Huge boost of the T20 World Cup at India – Sri Lanka in early 2026.
Abhishek Sharma who was explosive right through during his stints in the middle was named the Man of The Series.
