Rampant England put on a power show to thrash India by 125 runs in the Third T20I of the five- match series to take a commanding 2-0 lead . This after India Skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first .
England openers Philip Salt and Jos Buttler got the team off to a flier . Buttler scored quick 36 ( 21 balls 4 fours , 2 sixes). Skipper Harry Brook 16 and last match hero Jacob Bethell scored 13 . Tom Bantos was out for 0. All- rounder Sam Curran proved his ability with the bat scoring an important 41 ( 24 balls 4 fours) , Will Jacks 14 , Jofra Archer run-out 5 . Liam Dawson not out 0.
The English total of 201/7 in their 20 overs was largely due to the brilliant top order innings from opener Phil Salt . Aggressive Salt was in imperious form and smashed a fine 70 ( 44 balls , 7 fours , 3 sixes). It turned out to be a match- winning innings at the end.
A well-balanced innings from Phil Salt helped push England to a dominant total 👊

India Bowling : Arshdeep Singh 0/36 ( 4 overs), Harshit Rana 2/40 ( 4 overs), Axar Patel 1/49 ( 4 overs), Prince Yadav 2/30 ( 4 overs), Shivam Dube 0/10 ( 1 over), Varun Chakaravarthy 0/35 ( 3 overs)
In reply chasing 202 , the much talked about Indian batting line- up folded like pack of cards . English seam attack of Jofra Archer , Josh Tongue ripped through the batting. India were bowled out for a dismal total of 76 in 11.4 overs. Such was the pathetic show from the reigning T20I World champions that only four batsmen reach double figures .
The scores of batsmen told the tale – Abhishek Sharma 10, 15- year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi 13 ( will realise International cricket isa different ball game all together) , Ishan Kishan 13, Skipper Shreyas Iyer 5 , Axar Patel 10 . Tilak Varma 3, Harshit Rana 9, Shivam Dube 2, Arshdeep Singh 4 , Varun Chakaravarthy 5 , Prince Yadav not out 2
An impactful spell from Josh Tongue was key to restricting India in England’s T20I victory 🌟
