The much awaited clash between the Kolkata Kinght Riders and Punjab Kings ened on a rather dull note as persistent rain forced the Tata IPl 2026 encounter at Eden Gardens , to be called off . As a sresult both teams shared points . Punjab had won both their matches , whille KKR basgged their first points after two- staright losses
Earlier, KKR Skipper Ajinya Rahane won the toss and decied to bat first . A move that surprised many . Rahane’s move appeared to be set- back as they lost two quick wickets . Dangerous Finn Allen out for 6 and Rs 25 crore player Aussie Cameron Green out for 4 .
Aussie seamer Xavier Bartlett bolwed a fantastic spell of swin bowling to bag both the wickets for Punjab Kings . KKR were reeling at 25/2 in 3.4 overs when rain gods came out with fury and much to the disappointment of huge fans .
