19 Years, 2 Cities and 14 Iconic Food Markets: Woodside Inn’s Beer & Burger Festival Returns to Mumbai and Debuts in Bengaluru

Woodside Inn, Bandra – Interior

After 19 successful years, Woodside Inn’s iconic Beer & Burger Festival returns to Mumbai while making its Bengaluru debut, bringing one of India’s longest-running beer and burger celebrations to Indiranagar for the very first time. Titled ‘Bazaar Binge’, a month-long gastronomic event with the flavours and energy of 14 of the world’s most iconic food markets into an intimate curation of burgers, sandwiches, and craft brews, running across all Woodside Inn locations in Mumbai (Colaba, Bandra, Andheri) and now, for the first time, Indiranagar, Bengaluru.

Burger – Vada Vow! – Malleshwaram Market, Bengaluru

From the street-food fervour of Bangkok’s Chatuchak Market, to the spicy nostalgia of Bengaluru’s own Malleshwaram and the spice-layered heritage of Mumbai’s Crawford Market, to the smoky souks of Istanbul and Marrakech, and the artisan elegance of London’s Borough Market, Bazaar Binge is a passport served between two buns and a pint.

The programme’s headline collaboration is with Chef Seefah, who brings the taste of Bangkok’s Chatuchak Market with a double smash larb moo pork mince patty with nam jim jaew mayo and tom yum fries a dish that carries the heat and brightness of one of Southeast Asia’s great street-food destinations. It perfectly balances savory, sour, spicy, and sweet flavors
The beer programme features six brews, each developed in collaboration with one of Bengaluru’s finest craft breweries and inspired by the distinct character of iconic global marketplaces. One of the highlights include Borough Bean, crafted with Toit’s limited-edition Coffee Cocoa Porter, a rich, indulgent brew with deep coffee and cocoa notes that honors the decadent offerings of London’s Borough Market.

Get Ready For The Bazzar Binge Beer

More than just a beer & burger festival, the experience transports guests through some of the world’s most iconic bazaars with immersive décor, both indoors and outdoors, inspired by bustling marketplaces. Diners can also collect stamps in their Bazaar Passport as they explore different beers & burgers. The idea is to embark on a flavour-filled journey, bingeing through global bazaars over the course of 30 days.
“Bazaar Binge is one of the most exciting briefs we’ve ever set for ourselves. Every market on this list has a distinct personality. A smell, a texture, a way of eating, and the challenge was to get that into a burger or a pint without losing its essence.” says Pankil Shah, Co-Founder, Woodside Inn.

The Food Highlights:
The festival menu spans five burgers and three sandwiches and opens with its most-anticipated burger inspired from Bangkok’s Chatuchak Market, in collaboration with Chef Seefah, who delivers a double smash larb moo pork mince patty with melted cheddar and nam jim jaew mayo, served alongside tom yum fries. Crawford Market in Mumbai gives you a grilled lamb mince patty with mint coriander aioli and crispy straw onions, cut and rested over a silky nihari velouté. Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar features a grilled beef patty with muhammara and sumac pickled red onions, placed over labneh. Marrakech’s Jemaa El-Fna channels North African heat through a chermoula-marinated grilled chicken with scamorza, harissa aioli, and preserved lemon and green olive relish.

The fifth burger brings out the soul of Bengaluru and is inspired by Malleshwaram Market and reimagined as a chana dal vada patty with badami mango tamarind aioli on a potato bun, placed over guntur chili birria. It’s local, it’s layered, and it belongs exactly here.

Chatuchak Chomp and Moroccan Zest

The sandwich section travels just as far. Kuala Lumpur’s Jalan Alor Night Market arrives as a crumb-fried tempeh and mushroom mince patty with grilled king oyster mushroom, sambal oelek, and asian slaw on brötchen bread, resting over avocado pandan crema. Barcelona’s Mercado De La Boqueria comes in the form of sangria rosso brined fried chicken with salsa brava and manchego cheese, which is served with potato crisps and a shot of sangria rosso on the side. Colombo’s sandwich takes inspiration from Pettah Market: a melted cheddar, mozzarella, and seeni sambol brötchen with spiced banana chips.

The Beer Highlight:
The drink programme adds six markets to the map, each one interpreted as a bespoke brew, developed in collaboration with some of Bengaluru’s finest craft breweries and available in 330ml, 500ml, 1500ml pitchers, or as a flight of any three. Tokyo’s Tsukiji Outer Market features the Tsukiji Sunrise, a yuzu rice lager brewed in-house by Woodside, bright and crisp at 4.8% ABV. London’s Borough Market is captured in Borough Bean, a coffee cocoa porter brewed as a limited-edition special by Toit which is rich, roasty, and indulgent at 6.0%. Dubai’s Spice Souk translates into Saffron Sands, a witbier by Geist Brewing Co. with delicate saffron aromatics at 5.2%.

Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market finds its pour in Vicky’s Tropical Riot, a passionfruit IPA by Red Rhino at 6.2%, juicy and punchy. San Francisco’s Ferry Building Marketplace becomes SF Ferry Tale, a West Coast IPA by 2 Pints at 5.2%, caramel-malt forward with a citrus finish. Mexico’s Mercado de San Juan arrives as Mercado Wit, a Belgian witbier by Flying Fox brewed with mosambi peel and coriander seeds; pale, fresh, and gently spiced at 5.0% ABV.
“Bringing Bazaar Binge to Bengaluru for the first time feels especially significant because this city is so deeply curious about food and the stories behind it. Every burger and brew has been created to capture the spirit of a market, not just through flavour, but through the emotions, memories, and sense of discovery that make these places unforgettable. We wanted to recreate that feeling of wandering through a bustling bazaar, where every stall has its own personality and every bite tells you something about where it comes from,” says Sumit Gambhir, Co-Founder, Woodside Inn.” says Sumit Gambhir, Co-Founder, Woodside Inn.

Burger – Turksih Deal – Grand Bazaar, Istanbul

Whether it’s a familiar neighbourhood market or one discovered halfway across the world, Bazaar Binge celebrates the places where food, culture, and community naturally come together. Through thoughtfully crafted burgers, sandwiches, and beers, Woodside Inn transforms these iconic marketplaces into a menu that invites guests to travel through flavour, one bite and one sip at a time. Running from July 15 to August 16 across all Woodside Inn outlets in Mumbai and Bengaluru, the 19th edition of the Beer & Burger Festival promises a month of discovery, nostalgia, and stories served at every table.
