Defending Champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru knocked out five- time winners Mumbai Indians out of TataIPL 2026 as they clinched a thriller off the last ball to win by 8 wickets .

RCB kept fighting from being reduced to 39 for three . But cometh the man and the hour, Krunal Pandya played an innings to remember as wickets fell around him and kept RCB in the hunt against his fromer franchsie . Krunal battling cramps and injury on his body hit a superb match – winning innings of 73 ( 43 balls, 4 fours , 5 sixes). Rasikh Salam Dar not 3 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar not out 7 saw RCB home by two wickets off the last ball. RCB 167/8 in 20 overs. It was a thriller . The defending champions made the required 15 runs off the final over bowled by Raj Bawa, including a six from Bhuvneshwar. The win took RCB to the top of the Indian Premier League table with 14 points from 11 matches.
