Chennai Super Kings kept their play- offs hopes alive as they made Delhi Capital’s Skipper Axar rue his move to bat first after winning the toss and winning the macth by 8 wickets .
Batting first , CSK bowlers bowled tight line and bagged early wickets to rock DC and they never really recovered from it . DC could post a modest total of 155 /7 in their 20 overs . None of the batsmen got going and their scores said it all – Pathum Nissanka 19, K L Rahul 12, Nitish Rana 15 , Karun Nair 13 , Axar Patel 3 , Ashutosh Sharma 14 .
Tristan Stubbs 38 ( 31 balls , 1 four , 2 sixes) and Sameer Rizvi not out 40 ( 24 balls 4 sixes) tried hard . CSK’s Spin bowlers found the pitch to their liking ,and Delhi Capitals batsmen succumbed to their guile .

In reply the men in yellow were in a mission . Despite losing Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad early for just 6, CSK were on course . Urvil Patel was out for 17 and this was only other wicket to fall. As CSK once again rode on a masterclass knock by Sanju Samson . Sanju has been in terrific form and cracked a fine unbeaten 87 ( 52 balls , 7 fours, 6 sixes) to anchor the chase. Samson was well supprted by young Kartik Sharma , who impressed all with his 41 not out ( 31 balls 4 fours , 2 sixes). CSK romping home in style and bag two crucial points reaching 1592 in 17. 3 overs.
