Gujarat Titans held their nerves in a modest chase as they clinched a narrow 4-wicket win over Punjab Kings in a Tata IPL 2026 encounter at the Narendra Modi, stadium, Ahmedabad. Earliet GT Skipper Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first .
Punjab Kings were roccked early in the first over losing opener Priyansh Arya 2 and Cooper Connolly 0 , both to a fiery Mohammed Siraj. Prabhsimran Singh was out for 15 . Skipper Shreyas Iyer 19, Nehal Wadhera 0. Punjab were tottering at 47-5, 8.4 overs. GT seamers were on top – Siraj, Rabada, Holder.

But thanks to Suryansh Shedge , who scored his maiden fifty 57 ( 29 balls 3 fours, 5 sixes) and Marcus Stoinis 40 ( 31 balls , 5 fours, 1 six), Marco Jansen 20, Xavier Bartlett 0 , Vijaykumar Vyshak not out 1 , Arshdeep Singh not out 1 . Punjab could reach a a decent total 163/9 in their 20 overs.
