Five-time winners Chennai Super Kings appear to have found their ways as they won their second consecutive match of The Tata IPL 2026 . This time in front of their home crowd on a hot evening they beat three- time chamions Kolkakata Knight Riders by 32 runs. For KKR who are yet to win a match and have one point due to rain against Punjab Kings ( washout) it was their fourth straight loss .
Earlier , KKR Skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and opted to bowl first . KKR struck early getting out of form CSK Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad for 7 . Young Ayush Mhatre took the attack to the KKR bowling with a quick 38 ( 17 balls , 6 fours 2 sixes). fresh from a hundred in the previous game Sanju Samson looked good before he was out for 48 ( 32 balls 4 fours , 3 sixes).
South African young talent Dewald Brevis played well for his 41 ( 29 balls, 4 fours , 2 sixes), Sarfaraz Khan 23 ( 18 balls , 1 four , 2 sixes). Shivam Dube not out 13 and Jamie Overton not out 7 as CK finished with 192/5 in their 20 overs. KKR bowlers appeared to have pulled things back as CSK at one time threatened to go past 200
