Rashid Khan hit the final ball for four as Gujarat Titans ended the four- match winning streak of Rajasthan Royals by three wickets at Swai Man Singh Stadium Jaipur .
Gujarat Titans Skipper Shubman Gill won the toss and elected field first against Rajasthan Royals . desperate to get back to form Yashasvi Jaiswal tried hard and could score 24 off 19 balls with five fours. Jos Buttler who hammered a hundred in the previous match was out for 8 . In terrific form RR Skipper Sanju Samson remained unbeaten with a superb 68 ( 38 Balls, 7 fours, 2 sixes) and well supported by impressive Riyan Parag who smashed 76 ( 48 balls , 3 fours, 5 sixes) , Shimron Hetmyer remained not out 13 . Royals finishing at a strong 196/ 3 in their 20 overs.
GT bowling figures were : Umesh Yadav 1/ 47 ( 4 overs), Spencer Johnson 0/ 37 ( 3 overs), Rashid Khan 1/ 18 ( 4 overs) was brilliant. Noor Ahmad 0/ 43 ( 4 overs), Mohit Sharma 1/ 51 ( 4 overs)
In reply , GT were in control. Openers Skipper Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan began well and raced to 71-1, 8.2 overs. Sudharsan was dismissed for 35 ( 29 balls , 3 fours , 1 six) . Matthew Wade, getting a game was not happy one out for 4 . And Wade had mixed day behind the wickets too. A good catch followed by dropped ones. Abhinav Manohar was out for 1 .
After steady start GT innings was in trouble with quick wickets with total reading 86-3, 10.4 overs . Gill Kept GT on the hunt and fell for a fine 72 ( 44 balls , 6 fours, 1 six) . Vijay Shankar was out for 16 . Shahrukh Khan 14
But timely cameos by Rahul Tewatia 22 ( 11 balls, 3 fours ) before he was run-out and Rashid Khan not out 24 ( 11 balls , 3 fours ) who hit the winning runs saw GT home in thrilling last ball finish . GT 199/ 7 in 202 overs
RR bowling figures were : Yuzvendra Chahal 2/ 43 ( 4 overs), Keshav Maharaj 0/ 16 ( 2 overs), Ravichandran Ashwin 0/ 47 ( 4 overs), Kuldeep Sen 3/ 41 ( 4 overs), Avesh Khan 1/ 48 ( 4 overs) could not defend 15 off the final over.
