Continuing their protest the Opposition MP’s marched from Parliament to Vijay Chowk demanding the suspension of the 12 Rajya Sabha MPs be revoked.
Today, several Opposition MPs, led by the Congress staged a demonstration in the well of the Rajya Sabha for an hour, demanding withdrawal of the suspension.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi joined the protest he was flanked by Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP, Congress leaders of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha – Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury , Mallikarjun Kharge respectively .
The Gandhi scion slammed the Modi government over the suspension of the 12 Rajya Sabha MP’s . Rahul as quoted by ANI said , “This (suspension of 12 MPs) is a symbol of the crushing of the voice of people of India. They have done nothing wrong. We are not allowed to discuss important issues in Parliaments. Bills after bills are being passed in Parliament in the din. This is not the way to run the Parliament. PM doesn’t come to the House. We are not allowed to raise any issue of national importance. It is the unfortunate killing of democracy.”
