Kerala Literature Festival (KLF), Asia’s largest literary and cultural extravaganza, is proud to announce its eagerly awaited line up for the seventh edition, scheduled to take place from 11th to 14th January 2024 at Kozhikode beach. Boasting an impressive array of authors, novelists, diplomats, politicians, poets, advocates, journalists, historians, entrepreneurs, activists, academicians, chefs, film, and theatre personalities, and celebrities from diverse professional backgrounds, KLF 2024 promises an unparalleled celebration of literature and culture.

The festival, being held for the first time since UNESCO declared Kozhikode as the first ‘City of Literature,’ will feature luminaries such as advertising maestro Piyush Pandey, iconic Ad Man Prahlad Kakkar, esteemed television news journalist, and cultural curator Sahar Zaman, the insightful Editor of Asian News International Smita Prakash, dynamic Editor of Outlook India Chinki Sinha, and the accomplished Publisher at HarperCollins India, Poulomi Chatterjee, are set to grace the occasion. This diverse assembly of influential figures is complemented by the presence of distinguished personalities such as journalist and author Manoj Mitta, international journalist, author, and commentator Anita Pratap, the venerable author and journalist Barkha Dutt, versatile Indian writer, advertiser, and screenwriter Anuja Chauhan, the esteemed Indian columnist and media trainer Bachi Karkaria and more. This convergence of literary and media luminaries promises an unmissable celebration of culture, intellect, and creativity.

As a testament to its global appeal, KLF 2024 will see participation from countries such as the UK, Wales, Spain, Japan, USA, Malaysia, and France, with Türkiye taking center stage to celebrate its 100 years of the republic. The festival will showcase over 500 global speakers across 250+ sessions offering a truly diverse and inclusive celebration of literature and culture.

The sandy shores of Kozhikode will be transformed into a mesmerizing spectacle with original Sufi dancers from Konya, the Home of Rumi, featuring over 25 performers. Nights at KLF 2024 will be filled with fireside chats featuring the biggest acts and performing artists from around the world, creating an enchanting cultural experience.

Türkiye, as special guest at KLF 2024, will showcase its rich cultural heritage through music, dance, food, and various art forms. This marks the first time in bilateral history that Türkiye will be the honored guest of another country in India, adding a unique and historic dimension to the festival.

The Kerala Tourism & Cultural Department has joined hands with DC Books to make KLF 2024 a mega event, aiming to position it among the top 6 festivals in Kerala. The festival will host concerts by vocal maestro TM Krishna and percussion virtuoso Vikku Vinayakram, along with a Surbahar and Sitar concert by Padmabhushan Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee.
