#NoConfidenceMotion : Law Minister Questions Opposition’s No- Confidence Move On Manipur Despite Numbers Against Them

Ahead of the three- day no-confidence motion debate in the Lok Sabha over Manipur, Union Law Minister has taken a dig at the Opposition over the debate.

After BJP Parliamentary Party meeting, MoS Parliamentary Affairs , Minister of Law and Justice , BJP MP Arjun Ram Meghwal told media persons , “This ‘Ghamandia’ alliance has brought a No Confidence Motion. We have the majority, we don’t understand why did they bring the Motion. But maybe they want to test if they are united as one. They tested this in Rajya Sabha yesterday. But the speeches made on the Floor of Rajya Sabha made it clear that they did not have a strong ground…We received one vote more than what we should have received. All these issues were discussed in the meeting today.”

The Narendra Modi-led NDA Government will face a no-confidence motion in Parliament. The no-confidence motion was moved by the opposition parties of INDIA bloc and accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
