Former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad who had quit the party and blamed Rahul Gandhi for the present state of affairs of the grand old party has finally ended the suspense over his new party. Azad has launched his new party and has named it Democratic Azad party .
He also during the press conference in Jammu unveiled the party flag. “Mustard colour indicates creativity and unity in diversity, white indicates peace and blue indicates freedom, open space, imagination and limits from the depths of the ocean to the heights of the sky,” Azad said.
Around 1,500 names for my new party were sent to us, in Urdu, Sanskrit. The mix of Hindi & Urdu is ‘Hindustani’. We want the name to be democratic, peaceful & independent, Azad was quoted as saying by ANI .
