Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested that if the Congress comes to power, it would redistribute wealth of people to Muslims and cited former PM Manmohan Singh’s remark that the minority community had the first claim on the country’s resources.
Addressing a rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, Modi alleged the Congress plans to give people’s hard-earned money and valuables to “infiltrators” and “those who have more children”.
“This urban Naxal mindset, my mothers and sisters, they will not even leave your ‘mangalsutra’. They can go to that level,” Modi said.
Reacting to PM Modi’s remark, Congress leader Pramod Tiwari quoted by ANI said, “The Prime Minister has forgotten the dignity of his post. Whatever he says in his speech during the elections, is an insult to the former Prime Ministers and the Prime Ministerial post. It is also an insult to the Constitution…I challenge him to show me the line in our manifesto which says that we will collect from everyone and give it to the Muslims…”
