Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Breaks His Silence, Says Loss Of Soldiers In Galwan Is Deeply Disturbing

Finally breaking his silence after 20 Indian soldiers were killed in Galwan valley of Ladakh by Chinese soldiers in violent face-ff, Union Defence minister Rajnath has tweeted his reaction .

“The Nation will never forget their bravery and sacrifice. My heart goes out to the families of the fallen soldiers. The nation stand shoulder to shoulder with them in this difficult hour. We are proud of the bravery and courage of India’s bravehearts. The loss of soldiers in Galwan is deeply disturbing and painful. Our soldiers displayed exemplary courage and valour in the line of duty and sacrificed their lives in the highest traditions of the Indian Army.”

According to report by CNN- IBN, Army, Navy and Air Force are on highest level of alert and there is a forward movement of assets. The sources said that a complete free hand to local commander has been given. They’ve been told that if there are hostilities, give a befitting reply irrespective of what SOPs say, sources added. Sources also say that ITBP may now come under Army Control.
