After losing their opening game against New Zealand, Defending champions England put their campaign on track by recording their first win. It was a massive 137 run win over Bangladesh in Dharamsala .
Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and asked England to bat first. And England batsmen made Shakib pay as they posed and imposing 364 / 9 in their 50 overs . Opener Jonny Bairstow Led the way with a blazing 52 ( 59 balls , 8 fours) fellow opener Dawid Malan was on the other hand was superb as he smashed a splendid power packed 140 ( 107 balls , 16 fours, 5 sixes) , Joe Root joined the party with a fine 82 ( 68 balls , 8 fours, 1 six) Skipper Jos Buttler and Harry Brook chipped in with 20 each .

In reply to the huge total, Bangladesh batting collapsed with the exception of – Litton Das (76) and Mushfiqur Rahim (51) . The wrecker in chief was England seamer Reece Topley . Tanzid Hasan ( 1) , Najmul Hossain Shanto ( 0) , Skipper Shakib Al Hasan ( 1) , Mehidy Hasan Miraz ( 8 ), Towhid Hridoy ( 39 ) completed the disappointing batting display . Bangaldesh were bolwed out for 227 in 48. 2 overs
