Chakravarthy T. Kannan Appointed As New Secretary General of Quality Council of India (QCI)

With a distinguished career spanning various leadership roles in the automotive and logistics sectors, Kannan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position at QCI. His proven track record of driving transformative initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency positions him as a valuable asset to contribute in QCI’s journey towards establishing India as a benchmark of quality and development.

Welcoming the new Secretary General onboard, the Chairperson of QCI,  Jaxay Shah, stated, “We are delighted to have Shri Chakravarthy T. Kannan as the new Secretary General of QCI. His exceptional leadership skills and strategic acumen will undoubtedly steer QCI towards greater success in promoting quality standards across industries. His extensive experience in spearheading several key national organizations and global business expansion initiatives will contribute in advancing the quality landscape in rural and urban India.”

On his appointment, Shri Chakravarthy T Kannan, said that he aims to leverage his experience and learnings to accelerate quality excellence in India. His strategic vision is to boost India’s Viksit Bharat journey through Quality Leadership. Apart from promoting quality standards across all sectors and establishing strong industry collaboration, the key focus areas will be on setting up digital platforms for quality awareness, quality monitoring and quality skill building. He further added that ‘It’s a once in a life time opportunity to be part of India’s revolutionary journey’.

In his previous roles, he has led several business transformations such as ‘Digital Product Development e-NPI’, ‘Quality Crusade’, ‘Geelantheid – a billion-dollar Global business setup’. He is also the founder of several innovation based initiatives including Glyd e-mobility startup, CATAPULT incubator, etc.

Quality Council of India, through its Boards and Divisions, is proactively contributing in promoting and instilling a quality culture into the DNA of citizens of India. Moving forward, QCI intends to further strengthen its collaboration with the Industry and Government stakeholders in developing quality of life-centric solution that address key challenges and foster sustainable growth across sectors.
