That spirit of dark humour, mischief and a close-knit household that loves a little gloom, Spooky Families is what Sesame at Hyatt Centric Juhu Mumbai channels this Halloween with children firmly at the heart of it.
On 31st October, the restaurant turns into a candlelit gothic manor, and the fun starts the moment little guests walk in. Craft tables are set up around the room so the evening is something children make as well as watch. They can paint and decorate their own Halloween Props like Pumpkins, design spooky masks and hats, build art by crafting the bats and ghosts to hang around the manor. A tattoo artist adds the finishing touch to every costume, and the day’s creations double as party décor and take-home keepsakes.
The food keeps the mood going for every age. The menu opens with Moonlit Chicken & Celery Gyoza, Fiery Phantom Chicken Wings, Crimson Tide Fish Fingers, Ember-Roasted Kandhari Chicken Tikka and Midnight Mushroom Croquettes. Live pasta and bao counters keep the energy up while the mains bring comfort with a spooky twist by featuring the Gloom and Viper Sichuan Chicken, The Cursed Butter Chicken, Nightshade Garden Tofu, Graveyard Shepherd’s Pie, Paneer Lababdar and Dark Arts Awadhi Dal, with steamed rice and Burnt Garlic Fried Rice or noodles alongside.
A salad and mezze counter lightens the spread with the Bloody Finger Salad, Forbidden Forest Salad, Postmortem Platter, Rainbow Fruit Salad and hummus, and a bowl of Black Magic Tom Kha Soup warms things up between rounds. Dessert is the grand finale, with fifteen sweet creations including the Shadow Realm Mousse, Haunted Pumpkin Cheesecake, Midnight Web Tiramisu, Wicked Pumpkin Caramel Tart, Crimson Raspberry Panna Cotta and Midnight Monster Truffle, so every guest leaves with a sweet memory of the night.
Families are invited to dress in their spookiest looks for a chance to win Best Dressed of the Day or Best Reel of the Day, and competitions run through the evening for children and adults alike.
