Bang Bang! Noodle, the Ma La and Sichuan-focused noodle bar from Chef Rahul Punjabi, will take over Lili Cantonese Kitchen in Jubilee Hills on 28th and 29th October for a pre-Halloween residency titled A Spooktacular Noodle Takeover. For two days, Lili’s calm, copper-lit dining room will turn haunted. The menu brings the brand’s cult favourite mala fare and fresh hand-pulled noodles to Hyderabad, with every dish given a Halloween name and a ghost story of its own.
The menu is a haunted house tour in itself, with sections that run from Chills and Thrills to Gremlins and Ghouls. Guests can expect fun and whimsical Halloween fare, such as Skulls of the Damned, a play on honey chilli lotus stem that looks like skulls hanging above a graveyard, and the Pickled Poltergeist, a smashed cucumber salad that is positively spooky. Makdee Mushroom X.O. Tarts arrive as creepy, crawly mini spiders, and Radioactive Zombie Fingers pair chicken with hakka green garlic sauce and toasted almond nails. The menu also features Bang Bang! Noodle’s cult classic Sichuan hand-pulled noodles and chilli oil wontons, so diners who have seen the brand online can now experience it in person. Dish stories draw on Hyderabad’s own legends, from Golkonda Fort to Ramoji Film City. Two desserts close the meal: The Crimson Curse, with choux pastry, berry coulis and rose champagne caviar, and Nasty Neuro, a bheja popcorn parfait with gingerbread crumb and togarashi granola. A kids’ menu is also available.

“When we decided to come to Hyderabad, we didn’t want to simply do a menu takeover. The team inspired us to run with the Halloween theme and it got our creative juices flowing,” says Chef Rahul Punjabi, Founder, Bang Bang! Noodle. “The menu will feature our cult favourite mala fare, hand pulled noodles and some positively creepy, crawly and ghoulish delights!”
The collaboration brings together two kitchens with very different temperaments and a shared respect for craft. Lili, launched by House Of Tequileria LLP, is a 45-seat Cantonese kitchen and bar built on purity, renewal, elegance and calm strength. It is small by design, favouring refinement over spectacle and balance over excess. Every detail, from the art on the walls to the glass in the guest’s hand, is meant to feel intentional. Bang Bang! Noodle is driven by an obsessive commitment to ingredients and technique. Chef Rahul Punjabi has travelled deep into Sichuan province to learn dishes at their source. The kitchen cooks with A++ grade Crying Tiger Sichuan peppercorn flown in from China, the most numbing of the 22 known varieties, and noodle flour sourced from Italy for the fineness of its milling. Every noodle is hand pulled to order. Lili’s quiet precision and Bang Bang! Noodle’s bold, numbing heat make an unexpectedly natural pairing. Both brands take the food seriously and the room personally, and Halloween gives them licence to have fun with it.

Curse of the Cold Noodle
“Collaboration is at the heart of Lili,” says Abhilasha Oruganti, Co-Founder and Partner at Lili and Foxie. “We have always wanted this to be a space where good ideas and good energy come together. Bang Bang! Noodle shares our belief that flavour should be respected and that every plate should be made with care. Hosting Chef Rahul and his team for Halloween lets our guests discover a bolder, more playful side of Chinese cuisine, and we are thrilled to bring something this different to Hyderabad.”

For Hyderabad diners, the takeover is a rare chance to experience a Mumbai cult favourite without leaving the city, inside one of its most thoughtfully designed restaurants. It is also a reminder that fine dining and fun are not opposites. Both kitchens treat Halloween as an invitation to be creative rather than simply to decorate, and the result is a menu and a room that guests will want to spend time in. Come hungry. Leave haunted.
