Sonali Doshi Represented India As a Co-Producer At Cannes Film Festival 2026

Sonali Doshi marked her first-ever presence at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2026, held from May 12 to May 23, 2026, as a Co-Producer for the premiere of her first Indo-American feature film, ‘BOMBAY STORIES’. Starring Mouni Roy in the lead role and directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi, this landmark moment positioned Sonali on one of the world’s most celebrated platforms for cinema, storytelling, and culture. Known as a podcast host, cultural curator, and music personality, her participation at Cannes marked a significant new chapter in her journey.

As the Founder of the Boston, USA-based channel Sonali’s Music Room, Sonali built a strong global community around Indian music, artists, and culture. What began during the COVID-19 pandemic as a passion project evolved into a cultural platform connecting audiences and artists across continents.

Over the years, Sonali engaged with some of India’s most celebrated musicians and cultural icons, including Padmashri Kailash Kher, Shivamani, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Vijay Prakash, Purbayan Chatterjee, Mame Khan, PadmaShri Anup Jalota, Pratibha Singh Baghel, Prithvi Gandharv, Armaan Rashid Khan, Sourendro and Soumyojit, among many others.

Sonali’s industry credibility and outreach also led to media marketing partnerships for live events featuring globally celebrated artists such as A.R. Rahman, Arijit Singh, Gulzar Saab, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal-Shekhar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and many more.

Speaking about representing India at Cannes, Sonali Doshi said: “Representing India was both surreal and deeply meaningful for me. My journey has always been rooted in storytelling, music, and creating platforms for culture-driven people to connect globally. Being at Cannes as a co-producer felt like a natural evolution of that vision, and I was excited to continue building bridges between Indian creativity and international audiences.”

Apart from podcasting and production, Sonali also established herself as an accomplished live event host and presenter, actively engaging audiences across Boston and New York City. She also hosted Padmashri Anup Jalota in Boston for the first independent live concert presented by Sonali’s Music Room.

With her appearance at Cannes 2026, Sonali Doshi further strengthened her identity as a globally accomplished Indian creative personality — blending music, storytelling, cinema, and cultural advocacy into a singular voice that resonated across borders.
