Delhi Capitals batting flopped yet they managed to survive and keep their play-offs chances alive. As persistent rain denied SRH the opportunity to chase down the modest DC total. The match was called off due to wet out- field.
Earlier SRH Skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted owl first. And leading from the front Pat Cummins produced a sensational spell in power play to demolish Delhi Capitals batting line- up.
Cummins took the first three wickets in a fiery spell – Karun Nair ( 0) , Faf Du Plessis ( 3), Abishek Porel (8) . K L Rahul was out cheaply for (10), DC Skipper Axar Patel ( 6) . DC reeling at 29/ 5 in 7. overs. SRH were all over DC.

However, Tristan Stubbs not out 41 and Ashutosh Sharma 41 gave DC some total of decency and saved them from rout. Vipaj Nigam (18) and Mitchell Starc not out 1 as DC finished at a modest 33/ 7 in their overs. It was SRH’s best bowling performance this season.

With rain intervening and no SRH chase possible . The match was called off due to wet out- field which left the SRH fans disappointed . Both the teams shared points .
With 13 points from 11 games, DC remain in contention for a top-four spot.
SRH meanwhile have crashed out of the play-offs race. Having collected only seven points from 11 matches, SRH will now be playing for pride. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals had earlier crashed out .
