Powered by scintillating batting by Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, Sunrisers Hyderabad resurrected their Tata IPL 2025 campaign with a stunning 8 wicket win over Punjab Kings in high-scoring thriller, in Hyderabad.
Earlier Punjab Kings Skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and had no hesitating in batting first. And the Kings were off to a flier. Opener Priyansh Arya 36 ( 13 balls , 2 fours, 4 sixes) and Prabhsimran Singh put on 66 for the first wicket in 3. 6 overs before Priyannsh fell. Prabhsimran Singh scored 42 ( 23 balls, 7 fours, 1 six) .
The Kings innings momentum continued wit Skipper Shreyas Iyer in fabulous form joining the run feast. Iyer was brilliant and hit an entertaining knock of 82 ( 36 balls, 6 fours, 6 sixes) setting the stage for massive total . Nehal Wadhera 27 (22 balls, 2 fours, 1 six) , Shashank Singh ( 2) and Glenn Maxwell ( 4) were dismissed cheaply .
Marcus Stoinis not out 34 ( 11 balls, 1 four , 4 sixes) gave the team the perfect power finish hitting four sixes of the final over by Mohammed Shami who was eventually finished with horror figures 0/ 75 ( 4 overs) , Marco Jansen not out 4 . Punjab Kings total a imposing 245/ 6 in their 20 overs.

Abhishek on the other hand was devastating as hammered a stunning 141 ( 55 Balls , 14 fours, 10 sixes) before he was out. Sunrisers were on course .

Heinrich Klaasen not out 21 ( 1 4 balls , 2 fours, 1 six) and Ishan Kishan not out 9 ( 6 balls, 1 four) saw SRH home. SRH reaching 247/ 2 in 18. 3 overs with 9 balls to spare .
The wide smile of SRH Skipper Pat Cummins at the dug-out said it all. Stung by four losses this win will give them the confidence the future games and and warning toother sides. SRH is back .
