Rai directed Zero ( 2018) and before thatthe poor Box -office returns of Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal ( 2017) many though the King Khan had lost his magic touch .
But none to give up and give the Gen-next easy route to the top , SRK bounced back in stupendous fashion with Siddharth Anand’s slickly directed Spy thriller Pathaan( 2023) . Starring opposite lissome and sexy looking Deepika Padukone, the duo set screen ablaze with their chemistry . With John Abraham playing the antagonist with perfection. the film was Blockbuster in the Box- Office . The King Khan was back .
More the humungous Box- office collection of the film, what drew the audience to the film including this writer was the fantastic transformation of SRK . From a romantic hero in many a Karan Johar film’s Pathaan presented SRK as a action hero – with ripped abs and toned body, SRK packed the punches and the audience were trilled to see his new avatar.
