Embattled senior Congress Leader P Chidambaram whose anticipatory bail was rejected by the Delhi High Court in the INX media case and is now facing a prospect of arrest has found support from Congress party.
Congress General Secretary in charge of Uttar Pradesh East, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has in her tweets let her support to the former finance and Home Minister .
An extremely qualified and respected member of the Rajya Sabha, @PChidambaram_IN ji has served our nation with loyalty for decades including as Finance Minister & Home Minister. He unhesitatingly speaks truth to power and exposes the failures of this government,

but the truth is inconvenient to cowards so he is being shamefully hunted down. We stand by him and will continue to fight for the truth no matter what the consequences are.

Priyanka’s reaction comes after the Delhi high court refused to grant him any protection from arrest in the INX media case.
Hours after the HC ruling, a team of Central Bureau of Investigation officers landed at Chidambaram’s posh Jor Bagh residence to locate him, but left after not finding the senior Congress leader . Even the ED were at the door step but did not succeed in getting him.
Chidambaram is likely to file an appeal for interim / anticipatory bail in Supreme Court.
After Priyanka, Congress Communications in- charge Randeep Singh Surjewala to tweeted his support for P Chidambaram when he wrote, “India witnesses worst kind of virulent vendetta by Modi Govt as the BJP runs a police state. Judge reserves judgement for 7 months & delivers it 72 hours before retirement, CBI/ED are sent to raid as a respected former FM is hounded. Banana Republic?”
