It was not only Bollywood that was left numbed and shocked by the suicide of 34 – year-old actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Political leaders from across party lines paid rich tributes on twitter and expressed anguish why he left so soon when he had so much to offer ahead. The actor was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his bedroom at his Bandra residence. He was reportedly under spell of depression for last six months.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his condolences, so too several other leaders. Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor , Ravi Shankar Prasad, Smriti Irani, Babul Supriyo, Captain Amarinder Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
