O soil, you are the gentle kettle of pristine life.
From which the earth’s exuberance flows like mellow tea.
Your earthen skin adorned by lustrous leaves and pale pebbles
Glimmers with the passionate embrace of mango hued sun-light
And giggles with the pallid reflections of the luminous moon
lithe earthworms slither through endless tides of your existence
like a bold infant exploring the depths of its mother’s vast womb
while pint- sized creatures and giants alike tread on your bosom
intoxicated by the fragrance of all your wild flowers that blossom.
O soil accept the gratitude of this puny human, whose burden you carry
and the millions of organisms who are fuelled by your grace, unknowingly .
