President of the National People’s Party (NPP) and Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma is elated with his party’s good show at the recently concluded Manipur assembly polls 2022.
The party NNP won seven seats compared to the Congress party which won five seats in the 60 member assembly. Other party NPF bagged 5 seats on par with Congress.
That the Congress got less seats than National People’s Party is yet another nightmare for the party . A showing that needs serious introspection.
Sangma that the performance of the NPP in the state has “increased manifold” compared to the 2017 assembly elections.
Sangma later tweeted on the party’s success and wished all winning candidates
The National People’s Party extends its heartiest congratulations to our 7 candidates who have emerged victorious in the election to the 12th #Manipur Legislative Assembly
We are confident that our newly elected MLAs will affirm their commitment to the welfare of the people
