#Maharashtra Rain : Incessant Rain Causes Havoc In Raigad District, 30 Feared Trapped In Three Landslides

Heavy rainfall in Maharashtra has wreaked havoc as 36 people have been killed and another 30 are feared trapped in three landslides in Raigad district reported CNN- IBN .  Another landslide has been reported in Satara, where 12 people are said to be stuck.

Incessant rain over the last 24 hours has led to devastating floods in parts of Maharashtra, with three districts flooded and two districts facing a flood-like situation. This is the heaviest spell of rain in the state in July in 40 years. The Navy has been roped in for rescue and evacuation.

Several teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel too have been deployed for rescue operations in the Konkan region. While Ratnagiri, Raigad, Kolhapur districts are flooded, Sangli and Amravati are facing a flood-like situation.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team shifted people from Chikhali in Kolhapur district to safer locations. Several parts of the state are facing floods due to incessant rainfall.

NCP leader and MP from Baramati Supriya Sule said that she and Shiv Sena MP Anil Desai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Parliament and discussed the flood Situation in Konkan and Western Maharashtra.
