As the Election Commission announced the dates of the Lok sabha polls in 2019, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has predicted which way the results will go. In an interview to India Today, Yogi was full of confidence and predicted BJP will win 74 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. In 2014 General Elections it had won 71 seats.
He said the mood of the nation was in favour of BJP and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He expects a thumping majority for Prime Minister Narendra Modi too.
It thereby means that Yogi sees virtually no contest from the Mahagathbandan comprising the SP – BSP- RLD .
Now it remains to be seen whether this tally by yogi becomes true or not. Till then let us wait. After all in electoral season what is the harm in boasting and exuding confidence?
