Delhi Capitals, the last year’s IPL 2020 runners- up have appointed 23 year-old India wicket0 keeper batsman Rishabh Pant as the new skipper for the IPL 2021 season. This comes after regular skipper Shreyas Iyer was ruled out the entire tournament due to injury .
There are seniors like Ajinkya Rahane,Shikhar Dhawan, Steve Smith, and Ravichandran Ashwin in the side yet the DC team management decided to go with Pant. Rahane captained India to a historic 2-1 Test series win against Australia and was the toast of the natio0n with his captaincy . Many thought He would lead the Delhi Capitals this seaosn after Shreyas Iyer was out . This will be surprise to many ardent fans of rahane for sure.
