Chasing 168 to win SRH struggled. It lost skipper David warner early for ( 9), Jonny Bairstow ( 23) and Manish Pandey ( 4) run-out. Kiwis skipper Kane Williamson showed his class and scored a fine 39 ball 57 and gave CSK some jitters. But he did not get the support Priyam Garg ( 16) , Vijay Shankar ( 14) did not click as the SRH batsmen fell 20 runs short finishing at 147 / 8 in their twenty overs.
For CSK desperate for win their bowlers did come good in crunch tie. Dwayne Bravo 2/25 (3 overs), Karn Sharma 2/ 37 ( 4 overs) bagged two wickets each. While a wicket each went to bowlers Shardul Thakur 1/10 ( 2 overs), Ravindra Jadeja 1/ 21 ( 3 overs), Sam Curran 1/ 18 ( 3 overs)
