Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has announced the much awaited schedule of elections to 5 State Legislative Assemblies of Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Telangana at a press conference .
Chhattisgarh will have two-day voting vote on 7th Nov & 17th Nov; Madhya Pradesh on 17th Nov; Mizoram on 7th Nov, Rajasthan on 23rd Nov and Telangana on 30th Nov; Results will be declared on 3rd December.

With over 940 inter-state border check posts in five states, we will be able to check any cross-border movement of illicit cash, liquor, freebies and drugs: Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said on 5 States elections.
For the upcoming Assembly elections 2023 in five states, 1.77 lakh polling stations will be set up in 679 assembly constituencies.
There will be 17,734 Model polling stations, 621 Polling stations will be managed by PwD staff, and at 8,192 PS women will be in command.
As per law, after the election dates announcement the model code of conduct comes into force in the poll bound states.
