No one exudes the charm the way he does, his contagious smile and his agility makes the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, truly an enigma! Khan turns 60 on November 2, 2025. It’s more than just a birthday; it’s a celebration of a journey that transformed Indian cinema. From being an ordinary Delhi boy with Bollywood dreams to becoming one of the world’s biggest film stars, Khan’s 33-year-long career is an ideal mix of passion, hard work, and unmatched charisma.
Born and raised in Delhi, he started his acting career with television shows like Fauji (1989) and Circus (1989). His high energy levels and ever-charming style made him a sensation among the youngsters overnight. He entered Bollywood in 1992, with Deewana, never to look back again. Unlike most newcomers, with films like Baazigar (1993) and Darr (1993), Khan chose the bold path of playing the role of villain, which caught audience attention instantly.
Khan had definitely made his entry in Bollywood by then with the success of these movies but history was in waiting to be made. It was when Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) was released with Khan in an absolute new avatar of romantic actor, he inked his name in the history of Bollywood, probably, after the legendry Rajesh Khanna, as the king of romance. What followed thereafter has been records in many roles played by him. Films like Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), and Mohabbatein (2000) showing different shades of love, with one thing in common: Shah Rukh Khan’s magnetic presence. His charm, heartfelt expressions, and chemistry with co-stars like Kajol, Rani Mukherjee and Madhuri Dixit changed the way the movies were made back then.

While romance defined him, Khan never limited himself to one genre. He continuously experimented, taking on emotionally rich and thought-provoking roles. In Devdas (2002), he portrayed the tragic lover, in Swades (2004), he brought authenticity to the role of an NRI who returns to serve his country, and in My Name Is Khan (2010), he took on a powerful performance as a man with Asperger’s syndrome, delivering one of his career’s most memorable roles. Beyond romance and drama, Khan explored action and comedy too. Don, ChakDe!, Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year, proved him what a true performer could be.
Even after more than three decades in the industry, Shah Rukh Khan’s magic hasn’t faded. After a brief break from films, he made a grand return with Pathaan (2023) and Jawan (2023), both of which smashed box-office records, reminding the critics that he still is the Baadshah of Bollywood.
