One of the most prominent names inducted in the Modi 2.0 union cabinet reshuffle done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is Jyotiraditya Scindia. The 50- year-old son of late senior Congress leader Madhavrao Scindia . Jyotiraditya’s ascent besides helping BJP regain Madhya Pradesh has now clearly proved that for the BJP the word – Dynast is nothing but a poll rhetoric and are used according to convenience of the saffron outfit to meet its political agenda.
Here are some interesting anecdotes which exposes BJP’s stand on Dynast’s. Former Chief Minister of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah has suddenly become anti- national for the BJP . Was not National Conference part of the NDA under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ? Then there was no problem with National Conference or its ideology.
Omar Abdullah in-fact began his political innings under Vajpayee and still cherishes the time working under him . On 13 October 1999, he took oath as Union Minister of State, Commerce and Industry. And on 22 July 2001, he became the youngest Union Minister, when he was made Union Minister of State for External affairs. He resigned from the post on 23 December 2002
Another leader from Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti too has faced the ire of the BJP . That too when BJP in it sheer enthusiam to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir, former a disastrous alliance with the PDP. Mehbooba was at the helm for two years – from 4 April 2016 to 19 June 2018 . Then the BJP found the alliance untenable and withdrew support leading to the fall of the government and President’s rule in the state. Eventually leading to the removal of Article 370 and special status on August 5, 2019 .
Strangely the very parties with whom BJP formed alliance – PDP and National Conference became overnight anti- national for the safforn outfit and comments by leaders dissent and even nicknamed Gupkar gang.
The BJP ‘s dynast love does not end. Take the case in Haryana where its government ( M L Khattar ) depends on the support of Dushyant Singh Chautala’s Jannayak Janta Party. Dushyant is Deputy Chief Minister of the state. He is the grandson of Om Prakash Chautala, who was recently released from jail after serving a a 10-year prison term in a teacher recruitment scam case.
The bottom line is crystal clear that If the dynast aligns with the BJP . Then all is well.
