After two thrilling high- scoring encounters and the series tied at 1-1 all eyes were on the third ODI of the three- match series at Visakhapatnam between India and South Africa. A win for either side would clinch them the series.
India Skipper K L Rahul was lucky with the Toss this time as he won it and promptly opted to bowl first. South Africa got off to horror start losing opener Ryan Rickelton (0) without disturbing the scoreboard. Skipper Temba Bavuma along with seasoned Quinton de Kock put the team with their partnership . Bavuma scored 48.
Matthew Breetzke who impressed in last game was out for 24, Centurion Aiden Markaram in previous match was out cheaply for 1 , Dewald Brevis ( 29), Marco Jansen ( 17) , Corbin Bosch ( 9), Keshav Maharaj not out 20. Lungi Ngidi ( 1), Ottneil Baartman ( 3).
The South Africa were bowled out for 270/10 in 47.5 overs. Had not experianced opener Quniton de Kock not scored a fine hundred 106 . A power packed one too off 89 balls, studded with 8 fours, 6 sixes . The Proteas would have struggled to put on a decent total.

In reply, India were in cruise mode from the start with openers – Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The duo batted South Africa out of the match with their fine opening stand. The duo put on 153 for the first wicket in 25. 5 overs before Rohit fell. Rohit Sharma was out after a blazing knock of 75 ( 73 balls, 7 fours, 3 sixes).
Jaiswal on the other hand batted right through remaining not out and scored his maiden ODI hundred a fine 116( 121 balls, 12 fours 2 sixes) . Legendary Virat Kohli who smashed two- back-toback tons continued his rich form here as well . King Kohli was at his best and remained not wout with yet another 50 his 76th in his sterling career . Kohli was unbetaen on 65 ( 45 balls, 6 fours, 3 sixes). India raced home to reach 271/1 in just 39.5 overs.

India winning the match by emphatic 9 wickets and clinching the ODI series 2-1. Some solace for Team India after losing the Test series .
Both India and South Africa now face- off in the T20I series Beginning on December 9
