Kings XI Punjab hung on and did not give up as they snatched victory from jaws of defeat against the Delhi Capitals in the encounter at Mohali.

Mandeep Singh towards the end threw his bat around for quick runs. He remained unbeaten on 29 off 21 balls . The kings finished at 166/ 9 in their 20 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan (30 off 25 balls) and skipper Shreyas Iyer (28 off 22 balls) added 61 for the second wicket and the capitals looked to be coasting towards the target. A pumped up Hardus Viljoen bowled Shreyas Iyer to break the partnership. Dhawan was soon trapped leg before by Ravichandran Ashwin . The run- rate was under control and the target within reach.
