India cricket captain and superstar Virat Kohli was conferred with the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award at glittering ceremony at Rashtrapati BHawan. The Award was given away by President Ram Nath Kovind.
Virat thus became the third Indian cricketer after legendary Sachin Tendulkar ( 1997) and Jharkhand legend , former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni ( 2007) to bag the award.
Virat who had been rested for the on- going Asia cup 2018 was accompanied by actress wife Anushka Sharma, mother Saroj Kohli and elder brother Vikas.

The 29-year-old Kohli has 6147 runs in 71 Tests with 23 centuries and 9779 runs in 211 ODIs, including 35 tons. Kohli received the Arjuna award in 2013 and the Padma Shri last year.
The superstar took to twitter to express his feelings on getting the coveted award.
