Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express train .
PM Modi, who arrived in the city, flagged off the service from Secunderabad Railway station. It will reduce the travel time between the two cities by almost three and a half hours.
Later PM Modi quoted by ANI said, Today I have flagged off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express. It will connect faith, modernity, technology and tourism.

He boarded the stationary train at the railway station and interacted with school children.
Meanwhile amidst the BJP- BRS face-off, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will skip Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme on Saturday where he will inaugurate several development projects for the poll-bound state.
KCR was invited following the protocol.
