PDP chief and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has spoken on terrorism in J-K and the Gyanvapi mosque issue. “We created a safe atmosphere for Kashmiri pandits. In 2010, 2016 during peak unrest, no killing happened.
“The movie Kashmir Files has also triggered it. They’re creating Hindu-Muslim issues to distract from real topics and are after Gyanvapi mosque now.

The BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Ravinder Raina on Sunday visited the Sheikhpora camp of the Kashmiri Pandit employees protesting the killing of Rahul Bhat to express solidarity with them and said the mistakes of the 1990s will not be repeated.
Bhat, who had got the job of a clerk under the special employment package for migrants in 2010-11, was gunned down by terrorists inside the tehsil office in Chadoora town of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
Protests were held at several places in the Union Territory over the killing as well as the “failure” of the administration to provide security to Kashmiri Pandit employees. Police used batons and tear smoke shells at Sheikhpora in Budgam on Friday to quell the protest.
For the record, Mehbooba was the last chief Minister of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir from from 4 April 2016 to 19 June 2018. She formed a coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir with the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). She resigned in June 2018 after the BJP withdrew from the coalition.
