The Left parties seems to be now staring at a grim irrelevance in India politics . This scenario can be assumed as the 25 year old CPI(M) government led by Manik Sarkar In Tripura was voted out by the public in the Assembly polls 2018.
In a stunning and ‘historic’ result, the BJP powered its way to emphatic win by bagging an astonishing 41 seats at the time of going to the press leaving the shell- shocked Left with only 19 seats. The only state that is now with the Left now is Kerala.
Tripura chief minister Manik Sarkar can take shelter in West Bengal, Kerala or neighbouring Bangladesh as the BJP is going to form the next government in the state, Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said recently , according to PTI. The confidence was certainly seen as the results started coming in and indicating a lotus charge.
Congratulating @BJP4India for the electoral victory in North East!
PM Sh @narendramodi ji had said that NE is no more just North East but it’s the NEW ENGINE for India’s growth!
This victory is because of PM’s agenda of Development & Sh @AmitShah Ji’s strategy!— Sambit Patra (@sambitswaraj) March 3, 2018
