Sunrisers Hyderabad left Rajasthan Royals Shell- shocked as they beat them in the Tata IPl2023 encounter by 4 wickets off the last ball in a high-scoring game.
The Royals piled up an impressive 214 for 2 after Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to bat first . Jos Buttler finally hit form with 95 ( 59 balls 10 fours, 4 sixes) and Sanju Samson stroked 66 ( 38 balls , 4 fours , 5 sixes) . Yashasvi Jaiswal got them off to a flier with 18 ball 35 .

In reply , SRH openers began positively Anmolpreet Singh ( 35 ), Abhishek Sharma ( 55) , Rahul Tripathi scored a quick ( 47) to keep them in the hunt . But quick wickets of SRH Skipper *Aiden Markram ( 6) and dangerous Heinrich Klaasen ( 26) dented their chances . But big- hitting Kiwi Glenn Phillips blasted a blazing 7 ball 25 with three sixes of Kuldip Yadav and a four to put the chase on track .
Needing 17 of the last over bowled by Sandeep Sharma, Abdul Samad hit a six off the final delivery, re-bowled after a no-ball call . Samad with Marco Jansen on the other side , hit a six off the second ball to leave the equation to five runs from the last delivery when the drama unfolded. Everybody thought Samad was out with Jos Buttler taking a catch near the boundary but the umpire called for a no-ball and the last delivery was re-bowled. Needing four to win Samad despatched Sharma’s delivery for a six to reach 217 for 6 and notch up one of the most improbable wins in the IPL, leaving RR players shell shocked.
