Generally slow starters in the tournament , Mumbai Indians have kept their core team in-tact and added quality players at the auction to give the side the perfect balance of youth as well as experience. Rohit Sharma’s removal as skipper created bad blood for the side last year as he was replaced by all- rounder Hardik Pandya.
This year Hardik will lead the team once again and lost has changed since last year . India won the T20 World Cup In west Indies 2024 and added the 2025 Champions Trophy, Hardik and Rohit ( who led India in both the wins) will hope that the bad vibes have gone away and MI is ready to win their sixth title. MI finished at the bottom of the points table last year. So they have all the reason to bounce back this year.

The team has heavy loaded batting line- up – Rohit Sharma , Suryakumar Yadav ( India T20 Skipper) , Tilak Varma, Proteas Ryan Rickelton, Hardik Pandya Will Jacks .
The bowling is lead by seasoned Kiwi Trent Boult ( one of the best left-arm bowlers in cricket today and one who is a consistent wicket- taker in power plays) , Jasprit Bumrah ( might miss some early matches as he recovers from injury). Spinners Karna Sharma, New Zealand ODI skipper Mitchell Santner give variety , Deepak Chahar another seasoned seamer ( moved on from CSK). So there is quality in the team . One will have to play well to beat MI that’s sure
