Sunrisers Hyderabad came out with a perfect all- round game as they easily chased down Lucknow Super Giants target by six wickets in a Tata IPl 2025 encounter in Lucknow.
Put into bat by SRH Skipper Pat Cummins. LSG began well with in- form opening duo of Aussie Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram. Both set the tone with fine fifties . Marsh scored an aggressive 65 ( 39 balls, 6 fours, four sixes, Markram gave him fine support with a fluent 61 ( 38 balls, 4 fours, 4 sixes). But aftet the LSG batting barring Nicholas Pooran 45 ( 26 balls, 6 fours, 1 six) flopped.
LSG Skipper Rishabh Pant’s horror run continued out cheaply for just 7 . A dismissal that saw team owner Sanjeev Goenka visibly livid in the stands. Ayush Badoni ( 3), Adul Samad ( 3), Shardul Thakur ( 4). Ravi Bishnoi not out 0, Akash Deep not out 6. LSG battled to reach somewhat a fighting total of 205/ 7 in their 20 overs.

In the chase, SRH lost opener Atharva Taide early for 13. But Abhishek Sharma soon took control and blasted the LSG bowlers to put SRH back on track . Abhishek scored a blistering 59 ( 20 balls, 4 fours, 6 sixes). Later on the likes of Ishan Kishan 35 ( 28 balls, 3 fours 2 sixes), Heinrich Klaasen 47 ( 28 balls, 6 fours, 1 six) retired hurt Kamindu Mendis 32 ( 21 balls , 3 fours) ensured SRH chase was truly on and no panic despite losing four wickets. Aniket Verma not out 5 and Nitish Reddy not out 5 saw SRH home comnfrtably by six wickets. SRH reaching 206/4 in 18. 2 overs and 10 balls to spare . LSG hence were out of the play- offs with this loss.
